AUTHORITY
85.1.1 Planning and Strategic Initiatives Committee
The Planning and Strategic Initiatives Committee shall have the authority in
the place and stead of Council to hear submissions from any person with re-
spect to a proposed zoning by-law,proposed by-law to amend the official
plan,proposed plan of subdivision or an application under the RentalHous-
ing Protection Pict,R.S.O. 1990,c. R.24, as amended. By-law 95-137,25
September, 1995; By-law 2003-65, 7 April, 2003; By-law 2011-047, 28
March,2011.

85.1.2 Finance and Corporate Services Committee
The Finance and Corporate Services Committee shall have the authority in
the place and stead of Council to hear,under the Development Charges Pict,
R.S.O. 1990,c.D.9,as amended,submissions from any person with respect
to a proposed development charges by-law,an amendment to a development
charges by-law,or any complaint respecting development charges.By-law
96-174,2 December, 1996;By-law 2003-65,7 April,2003.
85.1.3 Sign By-law-or amendment
The Standing Committees of Council shall each have the authority in the
place and stead of Council to hear submissions from any person with respect
to a proposed sign by-law or amendment thereto. By-law 96-74, 21 May,
1996;By-law 2003-65, 7 April,2003;By-law 2011-047,28 March,2011.

GENERAL PROVISIONS
85.2.1 Report-recommendations-to Council
Where a Committee has conducted a hearing,the Committee shall,as soon
as practicable,make a written report to Council summarizing the evidence
and arguments presented by the parties to the hearing,the findings of fact
made by the Committee and the recommendations,if any,of the Committee
with reasons therefor on the merits of the application in respect of which the
hearing has been conducted.

85.2.2 Procedure-regulation
The Committee in conducting its hearing shall have regard to sections 5 to 15
and 21 to 24 as they may be amended from time to time, of the Statutory
Powers Procedure Act,R.S.O. 1990,c. 5.22, as amended.

By-law 83-134,as previously contained in this Chapter,is hereby repealed;
By-law 90-10 which amended By-law 83-134 is hereby repealed. By-law
95-137,25 September, 1995.
