COMMUNITY & INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES COMMITTEE MINUTES <br /> <br />APRIL 9, 2018 CITY OF KITCHENER <br /> <br />The Community and Infrastructure Services Committee met this date, commencing at 12:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: Councillor K. Saunderson, Committee Administrator <br /> <br />Pursuant to Chapter 25 (Procedure) of the Municipal Code, a motion was brought forward by <br />Councillor J. Gazzola to discuss Consent items 6 and 7, which was voted on and Carried. <br /> <br />1. CSD-18-024 - NAMING OF PRIVATE STREETS <br /> - 114-120 VICTORIA STREET SOUTH <br /> - 114-120 VICTORIA STREET SOUTH INC. <br /> <br />Councillor P. Singh declared a pecuniary interest with this item, as members of his family own <br />property in the vicinity of the subject project, and accordingly did not participate in any <br />discussion or voting regarding this matter. <br /> <br />The Committee considered Community Services Department report CSD-18-024, dated <br />February 5, 2018 regarding the acknowledgement of 114-120 Victoria Street South Inc. in the <br />naming of private streets located at 114-120 Victoria Street South. <br /> <br />On motion by Councillor B. Ioannidis - <br />it was resolved: <br /> <br /> That the City of Kitchener acknowledge that 114-120 Victoria Street South Inc. <br /> proposes to name private streets within the proposed mixed-use development located <br /> at 114-120 Victoria Street South, as outlined in Community Services Department report <br /> CSD-18-024; and further, <br /> <br /> <br /> preparation and registration of the necessary By-law(s) for the naming of the private <br /> streets. <br /> <br />2. CSD-18-067 - NOISE EXEMPTIONS - DOWNTOWN SPECIAL EVENTS <br /> <br />The Committee considered Community Services Department report CSD-18-067, dated March <br />18, 2018 recommending approval of various noise exemptions for the Downtown Special <br />Events. <br /> <br />On motion by Councillor B. Ioannidis - <br />it was resolved: <br /> <br /> That an exemption to Chapter 450 (Noise) of the City of Kitchener Municipal Code be <br />granted for the Downtown Special Events, attached to Community Services <br />Department report CSD-18- <br /> <br />3. INS-18-014 - ON-STREET PARKING REGULATIONS - GRACEFIELD CRESCENT <br /> <br /> The Committee considered Infrastructure Services Department report INS-18-014, dated <br />March 14, 2018 recommending approval of a stopping prohibition Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. <br />to 4:30 p.m. on the west side, and Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at any time on the <br />east side of Gracefield Crescent. <br /> <br />
