<br />Pursuant to Chapter 25 (Procedure) of the Municipal Code, a motion was brought forward by Councillor
<br />S. Marsh to discuss Consent items listed on the agenda as 1 and 6, which was voted on and Carried.
<br />Pursuant to Chapter 25 (Procedure) of the Municipal Code, a motion was brought forward by Councillor
<br />J. Gazzola to discuss Consent items listed on the agenda as 4, 5 and 7, which was voted on and
<br />Carried.
<br />1.CSD-18-094-NOISE EXEMPTION –BELMONT VILLAGE BESTIVAL
<br />-SEPTEMBER 15, 2018
<br />The Committee considered Community Services Department report CSD-18-094, dated July 23,
<br />2018 recommending approval of a noise exemption for Tim Moher for a free music event, located
<br />in Belmont Village, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. on September 15, 2018.
<br />On motion by CouncillorB. Ioannidis-
<br />it was resolved:
<br />“That an exemption to Chapter 450 (Noise) of the City of Kitchener Municipal Code be
<br />grantedto Tim Moher for a free music event being held in Belmont Village on Saturday,
<br />September 15, 2018, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., as outlined in
<br />Community Services Department report CSD-18-094.”
<br />2.CSD-18-095-NOISE EXEMPTION –BARRA CONDOS –CONCRETE POURS
<br />-399 QUEEN STREET SOUTH AND 168-180 BENTON STREET
<br />-AUGUST 2018 –MAY2019
<br />The Committee considered Community Services Department report CSD-18-095, dated July 23,
<br />2018recommending approval of a noise exemption to Polocorp Inc. for concrete pours for the
<br />development of the Barra Condos.
<br />Councillor K. Galloway-Sealock noted there was a possibility that the development may
<br />commence prior to the August 27, 2018 Council meeting and consideration of this matter should
<br />be forwarded on to Special Council for final approval later this date.
<br />On motion by CouncillorB. Ioannidis-
<br />it was resolved:
<br />“That an exemption to Chapter 450 (Noise) of the City of Kitchener Municipal Code be
<br />granted to Polocorp Inc. for the development of the Barra Condos at 399 Queen Street South
<br />and 168-180 Benton Street, on various dates from August 2018 through May 2019 between
<br />the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., as outlined in Community Services Department report
<br />CSD-18-095.”
