<br />POSITIONCentre In The Square Board ofDirectors <br />TERMNormally three (3) years, with the option of a second term for three <br />(3) years. <br />A director that has served two (2) consecutive terms will be <br />eligiblefor reappointment to the board if they sit out for one full <br />year after the second consecutiveterm. <br />REMUNERATIONBoard members are able to request complimentary tickets for <br />shows presented at CITS, when applicable. <br />LEGALMust be at least 18 yearsold, a Canadian citizen, and aresident <br />REQUIREMENTSorworkatacompanywithaCityofKitcheneraddress.Maynot <br />beemployed by Centre In TheSquare. <br />TIMECOMMITMENTA minimum of six (6) board meetings, normally held on <br />REQUIREDWednesday mornings from 8.00am to9.30am. <br />All reports are distributed via email and/on internet. <br />GENERAL FUNCTION The CITS Board of Directors stewards the financials and <br />of the facility setting key policies for implementation by <br />OFTHEBOARDoperations <br />the staff. The Board appoints the General Manager who directs <br />programming, brand management, customer service, marketing, <br />fundraising, finance and operations, including all other personnel. <br />SPECIFICDUTIESOFSupport the organization and actively fundraiseforit <br />BOARDMEMBERS <br />Overseetheshort-termandlong-rangemaintenanceand <br />improvements of thefacility. <br />Establish and monitor the organization’s strategic plan, measuring <br />KPIs and adjust plans to meet the overall goals. <br />Set the annual operating budget for the organization and facility. <br />Approve the yearly audited statements. <br />Assess and adopt policies to govern the organization and its <br />operations. <br />Recruit and evaluate annual performance of the General Manager <br />Participate in planned public relations and act as spokesperson for <br />the organization, when required. <br />Endorse requests and applications to local, provincial and national <br />funding programs to support programming activities and/or <br />infrastructure improvements. <br />Attend all Board meetings, committee meetings as assigned. <br /> <br />
