Following the lead of New York City, zoning was established here with the final <br />Adams-Seymour Plan for Kitchener in1924 which identified industrial, businessand residential <br />use districts.As the city grew, and in response to new legislation or policy direction, Zoning By- <br />laws were updated and consolidated over the years. The primary one that is currently in place <br />is By-law 85-1(as amended).
