<br />REPORT TO:Committee of the Whole <br />DATE OF MEETING:May 27, 2019 <br />SUBMITTED BY:Dianna Saunderson, Secretary-Treasurer, Committee of Adjustment <br />(519-741-2200 ext. 7277) <br />PREPARED BY:Holly Dyson, Administrative Clerk (519-741-2200 ext. 7594) <br />WARD(S) INVOLVED:5 & 8 <br />DATE OF REPORT:May 22, 2019 <br />REPORT NO.:COR-19-026 <br />SUBJECT:Sign Variances760 Commonwealth Crescent and524 Belmont <br />Avenue West <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />That the application of WATERLOO REGION DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD(SG 2019-009 760 <br />Commonwealth Crescent)requesting permission to replace the existing sign with a ground- <br />supported sign having automatic changing copy located 18.7m from a residential zone rather <br />than the required 100m, on Block 53, Registered Plan 58M-416, 760 Commonwealth Crescent, <br />Kitchener,Ontario, BE APPROVED, subject to the following conditions: <br />1.That the owner shall obtain a Sign Permit for the proposed business from the Planning <br />Division. <br />2.That the owner shall ensure the automatic changing copy shall not contain flashing, <br />intermittent or moving lights and that the rate of change in the content of the graphics <br />shall remain static for a minimum of six (6) seconds in accordance with the Sign By-law. <br />3.That the owner shall ensure the automatic changing copy portion of the sign is turned off <br />between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. <br />4.That the owner shall complete the above noted Conditions 1 to 3 prior to September 1, <br />2019.
