McCormick, Manager, Parking Enterprise, 519 741-2200 x 7155 <br />WARD (S) INVOLVED:Ward9 <br />DATE OF REPORT:May 13, 2019 <br />REPORT NO.:DSD-19-138 <br />SUBJECT:Parking Agreement -Bramm Street Yard <br />___________________________________________________________________________ <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute aparking agreement satisfactory to <br />the City Solicitor to lease an area of the Bramm Street Yards parking lot comprising 45 <br />parking spaces and a landscaped area to 100VIC GP Inc.,and <br />Thatthe Manager, Parking Enterprisebe authorized to execute temporary parking <br />agreements on City Lands having a term of not greater than threeyears, provided that <br />any such agreements shall have been approved by the City Solicitor and provided further <br />that any such agreements having a term in excess of oneyear shall include provision for <br />cancellation by the City on not greater than 60 days noticeand/or a provision to relocate <br />parking to other parking facilities. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Momentum Development and VIC100 GP Inc. is constructing Phase 2 at One Hundred Victoria <br />Street and Phase 3, the Garment Street Condos, on their site adjacent to Phase 1 located at <br />. They have approached staff to investigate <br />an interim parking solution requiredto facilitate construction. <br />REPORT: <br />from 100 VIC to enter into a 1 year parking <br />agreement;with a 3 month renewal option;withinthe City owned property located at 55 Bramm <br />Street. 100 VIC requires 45 parking spaces, existing drive aisles and a section of landscaping <br />(as depicted in Schedule A)for their staging and laydown area during construction. <br />100 VIC has agreed to pay market rate for all45 parking spaces and provide liability insurance <br />acceptable by the City throughout the term of the agreement. In addition, they have agreed to <br />indemnify and hold harmless the City from any and all lossesand damagesas directed by <br />solicitor.They will also be responsible forall repairs within the parking area as a result of their <br />construction activities. <br />***This information is available in accessible formats upon request. *** <br />Please call 519-741-2345 or TTY 1-866-969-9994for assistance. <br />6 - 1 <br />
