COMMUNITY & INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES COMMITTEE MINUTES <br />FEBRUARY 8, 2021-3-CITY OF KITCHENER <br />5.DSD-21-019-ON-STREET PARKING REGULATIONS (CONT’D) <br />That parking be prohibited on the south (odd-numbered) side of Hidden Valley Road from <br />the north intersection of Hidden Valley Road and Wabanaki Drive to a point 300 metres <br />west of the north intersection of Hidden Valley Road and Wabanaki Drive; and, <br />That on-street parking be prohibited on the north side of Old Carriage Drive from Homer <br />Watson Boulevard to a point approximately 100 metres west thereof; and, <br />That parking be prohibited on the east (even-numbered) side of Sienna Street from <br />Sienna Crescent to Fischer-Hallman Road; and, <br />That stopping be prohibited from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday on the west (odd- <br />numbered) side of Autumn Hill Crescent from Westheights Drive to a point 35 metres <br />south thereof; and, <br />That parking be prohibited on the north (even-numbered) side of Dekay Street from a <br />point 41 metres west of Shanley Street, to a point 10 metres west thereof; and further, <br />That the Uniform Traffic Bylaw be amended accordingly.” <br />6.DSD-21-021-STORMWATER MARKET INCENTIVE PROGRAM <br />The Committee considered Development Services Department report DSD-21-021, dated <br />January 22, 2021 regarding the Stormwater Market Incentive program.C.Bennett presented <br />the report. B. Lamand J. Readman were also in attendance and responded to questions from <br />the Committee. <br />On motion by CouncillorS. Marsh- <br />it was resolved: <br />“That staff proceed with the development of a Market Incentive Program, as outlined in <br />Development Services Department report DSD-21-021, to encourage implementation of <br />source-control stormwater management practices on private properties and report back <br />to Council with recommended program details by December 2021.” <br />7.DSD-21-020-CONTINUED SUPPORTS FOR BUSINESSES IMPACTED BY PROVINCIAL <br />RESTRICTIONS <br />The Committee considered Development Services Department report DSD-21-020, dated <br />January 28, 2021 recommending approval of continued supports for businesses impacted by <br />Provincial restrictions as outlined in the Report.C. Bluhm presented the report and responded <br />to questions from the Committee. <br />It was noted any recommendation arising from this matter would be considered at a special <br />Council meeting later this date. <br />On motion by Mayor B. Vrbanovic- <br />it was resolved: <br />“That, as part of the City’s ongoing efforts to support businesses impacted by Provincial <br />restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City undertake the following: <br />a.Continue to provide necessary resource supports in the Waterloo Region Small <br />Business Centre to continue to provide needed services where Provincial funding <br />is unavailable; <br />b.Utilize all relevant and applicable City of Kitchener communication channels to <br />ensure local businesses are aware of all funding supports, including Federal and <br />Provincial programs; <br />
