i <br />Staff Report �T R <br />Dbvelo n7entServicesDepartment www. kitchener.ca <br />REPORT TO: Planning and Strategic Initiatives Committee <br />DATE OF MEETING: June 14, 2021 <br />SUBMITTED BY: Bustamante, Rosa - Director of Planning 519-741-2200 ext. 7319 <br />PREPARED BY: Malone -Wright, Tina - Senior Planner, Policy, 519-741-2200 ext. 7765 <br />Edwards, Dayna - Senior Planner, Urban Design, 519-741-2200 ext. <br />7324 <br />WARD(S) INVOLVED: Ward(s) 9 and 10 <br />DATE OF REPORT: May 20, 2021 <br />REPORT NO.: DSD -2021-92 <br />SUBJECT: Neighbourhood Planning Review <br />Official Plan Amendment OPA19/004/COK/TMW <br />Zoning By-law Amendment ZBA19/010/COK/TMW <br />Neighbourhood Specific Urban Design Guidelines <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />That the `Final Summary List of NPR Submissions and Responses' and the `Staff <br />Responses to NPR Written and Verbal Submissions' in response to Official Plan <br />Amendment OPA19/004/COK/TMW and Zoning By-law Amendment <br />ZBA19/010/COK/TMW (Neighbourhood Planning Review), attached as Appendix `A' <br />and Appendix `B', respectively, to Report DSD -2021-92, be received for information; <br />and, <br />That those properties in the Secondary Plans, not proposed to be within a Major <br />Transit Station Area, as determined by the Region of Waterloo, proceed to be zoned <br />as part of Stage 2b of Zoning By-law 2019-051; and <br />That the `Neighbourhood Specific Urban Design Guidelines' for the; <br />• Cedar Hill and Schneider Creek Neighbourhood <br />Victoria Park Neighbourhood; <br />Civic Centre Neighbourhood; <br />• Rockway Neighbourhood; <br />• King Street East Neighbourhood; and the <br />• Midtown Neighbourhood; <br />attached as Appendix `C' to Report DSD -2021-92, be approved, and adopted into the <br />City's Urban Design Manual; and further, <br />That staff continue to work through any of the outstanding issues in the submissions <br />and develop a consultation and engagement strategy to appropriately consider the <br />new Secondary Plans and Zoning at future Statutory Public Meetings before final <br />*** This information is available in accessible formats upon request. *** <br />Please call 519-741-2345 or TTY 1-866-969-9994 for assistance. <br />
