Lavender, Acting Chair, Ms. M. Goveas, Ms. L. Gazzola, and Mr. W. Rahimi Staff: A. Fritz-Walters, Engagement Program Manager – Strategic Planning 1. REVIEW ALL ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING FEEDBACK A document summarizing all feedback received at the October 5, 2022 All Advisory Committee meeting had previously been circulated to Compass Kitchener members and all other advisory committee members as well. The feedback will be colour coded to differentiate the source – Compass Kitchener (blue) and All Advisory Committee (black). Feedback was also obtained related to two different goals:  Development of a new 20-year vision for the City; and,  Development of a list of community priorities to be included in the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan. The initial list of community priorities resulting from all engagement outreach was grouped into the following broad categories:  Belonging, Connection, Affordable/Free;  Support for Newcomers;  Welcoming and Inclusive Community;  Public Engagement;  Housing Affordability;  Environmental Sustainability;  How we Move Around the City; and,  Urban Growth. Members raised some points of clarification regarding the categories and also specifically requested that more information regarding a lack of parking, an emphasis on community needs re housing (vs. developer wants) and more clarity on how delivering City Services can be more environmentally sustainable be added as well as highlighting that equity, diversity & inclusion touches upon all categories. 2. STRATEGIC PLAN – DRAFT COMPASS KITCHENER REPORT ON COMMUNITY PRIORITIES Ms. A. Fritz-Walters shared a draft staff report which will forward the Committee’s community priority recommendations for inclusion in the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan to City Council for consideration and support. Members provided feedback to ensure that the order of the priorities is reflective of the topics that garnered the most interest from citizens and also suggested that an ‘outcome statement’ be developed/included which could also cite examples of how to achieve same by identifying tangible actions. Ms. R. Lavender and Ms. L. Trumper offered to review the draft report prior to finalization. 3. THANK YOU TO COMMITTEE MEMBERS Ms. R. Lavender extended a thank you to all members of Compass Kitchener for their commitment and input freely shared during the 2021-2022 term. Ms. A.
