REQUEST FOR PERMISSION TO SELL MERCHANDISE IN
VICTORIA PARK -MAY 30, 2010 -EXTEND-A FAMILY
WATERLOO REGION
RECOMMENDATION:
That the request of Extend-A Family Waterloo Region to sell merchandise in Victoria Park on
May 30, 2010 be approved, provided the necessary licence is obtained.
BACKGROUND:
Council policy requires Council approval prior to a licence being issued to allows sales of
merchandise to take place on City property.
REPORT:
Correspondence has been received from Lisa Short, Resource Development Coordinator,
Extend-A Family Waterloo Region requesting permission to sell t-shirts in conjunction with a
fundraising event called Walk or Wheel. The proceeds of the sale of the t-shirts will be used to
raise awareness of inclusion of those with developmental and/or physical challenges in the
community.
This is the first year for this event.
