SPECIAL COUNCIL MINUTES
JANUARY 17, 2011 CITY OF KITCHENER
A special meeting of City Council was held at 12:10 p.m. this date, chaired by Mayor C. Zehr with all
members present.
Notice of this meeting had been previously given to all members of Council by the City Clerk pursuant
to Chapter 25 (Council Procedure) of the Municipal Code.
Council considered Community Services Department report CSD-11-017 (S. Turner), dated January
11, 2011, concerning an amendment to the private property parking by-law.
Moved by Councillor K. Galloway
Seconded by Councillor B. Ioannidis
“That a by-law be enacted to amend By-law 2010-190, being a by-law to regulate the parking
of vehicles on private property, to extend the effective date of the By-law from January 18,
2011 to February 15, 2011.”
Carried.
Moved by Councillor B. Vrbanovic
Seconded by Councillor S. Davey
“That an in-camera meeting of City Council be held this date to consider a matter subject to
solicitor-client privilege.”
Carried.
Moved by Councillor P. Singh
Seconded by Councillor Z. Janecki
“That leave be given the Mover and Seconder to introduce the following by-laws for three
readings and that the same be taken as read a first, second and third times, be finally passed and
numbered serially by the Clerk.
(a) Being a by-law to amend By-law No. 2010-190 of the Corporation of the City of
Kitchener being a by-law to regulate the parking or leaving of motor vehicles on property
without the consent of the owner.
(By-law No. 2011-005)
(b) To confirm all actions and proceedings of the Council.
(By-law No. 2011-006)
Carried.
On motion the meeting adjourned at 12:12 p.m.
