Finance and Corporate Services Committee to allow an opportunity to address the potential
concerns of residents, and further, that the applicant be required to notify residents within 120
metres of the proposed midway location that it will be operating, dates and hours of operation
and the name of the sponsoring charity. Council has approved similar requests for the past 10+
years, the latest being February 22, 2010.
The conditions as noted in the recommendation have been in place since then to alleviate any
noise concerns that residents in the surrounding area have had. In the last few years, there

have been very few noise complaints and any issues have been resolved quickly by the owners
of Homeniuk Rides.
