BACKGROUND: The Highland Stirling Community Group is planning for a weekly market event to be held in the parking lot of the Mill Courtland Community Centre each Wednesday from June 29 to September 14. Part of the activities will include the playing of music from time to time. As such, the group is requesting an exemption from Chapter 450 (Noise). REPORT: This market event was held for the first time last summer. Although no formal complaint was registered, a concern was expressed regarding the music. The event organizers were able to work through the issue and satisfy the concern. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: N/A COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: The event organizers will undertake to notify the adjacent property owners of this series of events.
