Memorandum of Settlement, C.U.P.E.791
THAT the terms and conditions contained in the Memorandum of Settlement dated June 28,
2011 to establish the 2011 - 2014 Collective Agreement with C. U. P. E. Local 791 Kitchener City
Hall Office, Clerical & Technical Staff be approved;
THAT the Mayor and the Clerk be authorized to execute any documentation arising there from;
AND FURTHER THAT, consistent with the C.U.P.E Local 791 wage settlement, salary and
fringe benefit adjustments for non-union and management employees for the period 2011-2014
be approved, save and except that there shall be no salary adjustment for salary grades 12 and
above for the period from April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012 in accordance with the 2011 budget.
REPORT:
The purpose of these recommendations is to ratify the terms of the tentative agreement for a
renewal collective agreement for C.U.P.E. Local 791 (City Hall Office, Clerical and Technical
staff).
Consistent with City of Kitchener pay policy and legislated pay equity requirements, salary and
benefit adjustments established for C.U.P.E. 791 represented employees will be applied to non-
union and management employees (except for salary adjustments for salary grades 12 and
above for the period April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012 due to the salary freeze approved through
the 2011 budget).
