BACKGROUND: The City of Kitchener currently has Ministry of Transportation to obtain electronically access the Ministry's infraction notices (parking tickets). REPORT: s an Authorized Requestor Agreement in place with the vehicle ownership information. This allows the City to vehicle ownership database in order to process parking The Ministry of Transportation has undertaken a program review which resulted in some revisions to the Authorized Requestor Agreement as it relates to disclosure and retention of personal information. These revisions require that we renew our Agreement. As such, staff are requesting that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute the new Agreement on behalf of the City. Staff from Legal and By-law Enforcement are currently reviewing the draft agreement and will arrange for its execution by the Mayor and City Clerk at the appropriate time.
