BACKGROUND: There are emergency generators located at all Fire Halls, Pumping Stations and nine (9) other City facilities, including City Hall. This contract is for monthly maintenance and service as required by the Ontario Fire Code and CSA Standards. The estimated average annual spend over the past three (3) years was $71,148.88. REPORT: Tenders were advertised publicly in The Record, on the City of Kitchener website and the Internet through the Ontario Public Buyers Electronic Tendering Information System. Seventeen (17) potential bidders downloaded tender documents, and by the closing date of Thursday September 29, 2011, eight (8) tenders had been received. Woodbridge ON $ 202,738.95 ï ··÷ ó ï The price for Emergency Generator Service and Maintenance has increased an estimated 7% from the previous contract. Tenders were reviewed by D. Hergott, Manager, Facilities Management, C. Banks, Operations Supervisor (Sewers) and R. Kruppa, Buyer, who concur with the above recommendation.
