RECOMMENDATION:
That Expression of Interest E11-067, Prequalification of General Contractors - Victoria Park
Lake Improvements, be awarded as follows:

BACKGROUND:

On August 5, 2011, Deputy CAO, P. Houston approved the prequalification process for the
selection of a maximum of six (6) general contractors for the Victoria Park Lake Improvements
Project.
REPORT:
Expressions of interest were advertised publicly in The Record, on the City of Kitchener website
and on the internet through the Ontario Public Buyers Association Electronic Tendering
Information System relative to this project. Documents were downloaded by twenty-three (23)
interested parties, and by the closing date of Thursday August 25th, 2011, nine (9) responses
had been received.
The submissions were reviewed by S. Brown, Stantec Consulting Ltd., the City’s Consultants for
the project who recommended the above listed contractors for the project.
