Agreements are currently in place and all are due for renewal in 2012. REPORT: This agreement is a renewal of a previous 2 year agreement. The fire department negotiated with the dispatch contract customers and has adjusted the formula to reflect aper-call rate vs. the current rate. This per-call rate will reflect the actual annual salaries and benefit costs of fire communications and applied using the previous year's actual call volume. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: The agreement provides for an annual fee for service of approximately $38,000 annually. These revenues have been reflected in the 2012 operating budget. This reflects full cost recovery for services. ALIGNMENT WITH CITY OF KITCHENER STRATEGIC PLAN: This aligns with E1.4 of the Effective and Efficient Government, to which we are continuing with a source of sustainable revenue to assist in reducing the reliance on taxes. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: This is an internal operational matter and will not require community engagement.
