SUBJECT: Noise Exemption Request -Kitchener Harley Davidson
RECOMMENDATION:
That an exemption to Chapter 450 (Noise) of the City of Kitchener Municipal Code be
granted to Kitchener Harley-Davidson at 2255 Kingsway Drive on September 8, 2012,
from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m..
BACKGROUND:
Kitchener Harley-Davidson is holding their annual summer party at their business location on
Saturday September 8th. As such, they have applied for an exemption from Chapter 450
(Noise).
REPORT:
This year's event will be held during their regular business hours, ending at 6 PM, and will
include music, a barbecue and children's activities. The organizers will be advising the adjacent
residential community in advance of the event.
ALIGNMENT WITH CITY OF KITCHENER STRATEGIC PLAN:
The aforementioned amendments support the Community Priority of Quality of Life, as
contained in the City's Strategic Plan.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
N/A
