SEPTEMBER 25, 2000
CITY OF KITCHENER
A special meeting of City Council was held at 11:25 a.m. this date and Chaired by Acting Mayor K.
Taylor-Harrison, with all members present except Mayor C. Zehr.
Notice of this special meeting had been previously given to all members of Council by the City Clerk
pursuant to Chapter 25 (Council Procedure) of the Municipal Code.
Acting Mayor K. Taylor-Harrison advised of two additional items for in-camera discussion this date
involving a personal matter and a matter subject to solicitor-client privilege.
Moved by Councillor B. Vrbanovic
Seconded by Councillor M. Yantzi
"That an in-camera meeting of City Council be held immediately following this special meeting
to consider a labour relations matter, a personal matter and four matters subject to solicitor-
client privilege."
Carried.
Councillor Jake Smola advised that he has been receiving calls concerning the new school site on
Zeller Drive, and suggested that any calls received by other Councillors in this regard could be
forwarded to him for a response. Councillor C. Weylie also advised that she will be requesting
discussion at the Planning and Economic Development Committee meeting of this date in regard to
the Zeller Drive school site.
On motion, the meeting adjourned at 11:30 a.m.
