SUBJECT: NOISE EXEMPTION REQUEST – WILLIAMSBURG
COMMUNITY FESTIVAL
RECOMMENDATION:
That an exemption to Chapter 450 (Noise) of the City of Kitchener Municipal Code be
granted to RBJ Schlegel Holdings for their Williamsburg Community Festival on
September 8, 2013, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
BACKGROUND:
RBJ Schlegel Holdings will be holding their annual community festival at 1187 Fischer Hallman
Road on September 8th. They are once again requesting an exemption from Chapter 450
(Noise).
REPORT:
This community festival has been held for approximately 6 years. Staff do not recall any
significant complaints being registered over the past years.
ALIGNMENT WITH CITY OF KITCHENER STRATEGIC PLAN:
This request supports the Community Priorities of Quality of Life, as contained in the City’s
Strategic Plan.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
N/A

The organizers will be advertising the event within the adjacent residential community.
