A request has been received from GTA Midways Inc. to operate a midway in Victoria Park
during Ribfest. Similar requests have been granted since 2009 when the midway was added to
the Ribfest event to provide a further family friendly environment. In 2009 and 2010 complaints
were received regarding this event. In the spring of 2011 the organizer of Ribfest and City staff
met with the Victoria Park Working Group. Through that dialogue the Victoria Park Working
1 - 1
Group was satisfied with the remedies that the organizer had suggested to alleviate the noise
concerns. In 2012 staff did not receive any complaints regarding this event.
As directed in the by-law the Regional Health Un
advised of this request.
