CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF KITCHENER
(Being a by -law to amend Chapter 408 of The City of
Kitchener Municipal Code with respect to Animals -
Regulation.)
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend Chapter 408 of The City of
Kitchener Municipal Code as adopted by By -law 88 -100;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kitchener
enacts as follows:
1. Section 408.2.10(g) is hereby amended by deleting the word "Gymnophobia" and
substituting the word "Gymnophiona" therefor.

Section 408.5.4 is hereby deleted in its entirety and the following is substituted
therefor:
"408.5.4
The Poundkeeper may release an impounded animal to its owner after
identification of the animal by its owner. The Poundkeeper may require any of
the following of the owner prior to releasing the animal or at a later date:
(a) payment of the Thirty -five Dollar ($35) impound fee for the first day or any
part thereof which the animal has been impounded;
(b) payment of the Thirty -five Dollar ($35) boarding fee incurred for each
subsequent day or any part thereof which the animal has been impounded;
and
(c) payment of the cost of any vaccination given pursuant to this Chapter."
Section 408.5.7 is hereby deleted in its entirety and the following is substituted
therefor:
"408.5.7
Where an animal is impounded, the owner shall be liable for and shall pay on
demand the following fees to the Poundkeeper:
Iii
(a) the Thirty-five Dollar ($35) impound fee for the first day or any part thereof
which the animal has been impounded;
(b) the Thirty-five Dollar ($35) boarding fee incurred for each subsequent day or
any part thereof which the animal has been impounded; and
(c) the cost of any vaccination given pursuant to this Chapter."
