HomeMy WebLinkAboutINS-13-061 - On-street Parking Regulations - Otto Street REPORT TO: Community and Infrastructure Services Committee DATE OF MEETING: August 12, 2013 SUBMITTED BY: Justin Readman, Director of Transportation Services PREPARED BY: Justin Mishko, Traffic Technologist, extension 7153 WARD(S) INVOLVED: Ward 10 DATE OF REPORT: July 5, 2013 REPORT NO.: INS-13-061 SUBJECT: ON-STREET PARKING REGULATIONS – OTTO STREET RECOMMENDATIONS: That parking be prohibited at anytime on the north side of Otto Street from Frederick Street to a point 80 metres west thereof; and, That parking be permitted for a maximum of 15 consecutive minutes on the north side of Otto Street from a point 80 metres west of Frederick Street to a point 59 metres west thereof; and, That parking be prohibited at anytime on the north side of Otto Street from a point 139 metres west of Frederick Street to a point 46 metres west thereof; and, That parking be permitted for a maximum of 15 consecutive minutes on the north side of Otto Street from a point 185 metres west of Frederick Street to a point 20 metres west thereof; and, That parking be prohibited at anytime on the north side of Otto Street from a point 205 metres west of Frederick Street to Queen Street North; and further, That the Uniform Traffic Bylaw be amended accordingly. BACKGROUND: Report INS-13-057 was submitted to the Community and Infrastructure Services Committee on June 17, 2013 recommending changes to the on-street parking regulations on Otto Street from Frederick Street to Queen Street North. These recommended changes are in response to the recent reconstruction of Otto Street. 5 - 1 REPORT: The intent of this report is to serve as a correction to a clerical error in report INS-13-057, specific to the directions used in the recommended changes to the on-street parking regulations. All measurements now accurately reflect the proper east to west direction. ALIGNMENT WITH CITY OF KITCHENER STRATEGIC PLAN: None. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: None. COMMUNICATIONS: None.
