BACKGROUND:
Council policy requires that prior to the approval of an application for a midway location, the
proposed site and details as well as the dates and hours of operation be brought before the
Finance and Corporate Services Committee to allow an opportunity to address the potential
2 - 1
concerns of residents, and further, that the applicant be required to notify residents within 120
metres of the proposed midway location that it will be operating, dates and hours of operation
and the name of the sponsoring charity. Council approved a similar request last year at this
location.
The conditions as noted in the recommendation have been put in place to alleviate any noise
concerns that residents in the surround area may have.
