HomeMy WebLinkAboutCouncil Minutes - 2004-01-05 SSPECIAL COUNCIL MINUTES JANUARY 5, 2004 CITY OF KITCHENER A special meeting of City Council was held at 5:21 p.m. this date, Chaired by Mayor C. Zehr with all members present except Councillor M. Galloway. Notice of this special meeting had been previously given to all members of Council by the City Clerk pursuant to Chapter 25 (Council Procedure) of the Municipal Code. Moved by Councillor G. Lorentz Seconded by Councillor C. Weylie "That an in-camera meeting of City Council be held this date to consider three matters subject to solicitor-client privilege." Carried. The meeting then recessed at 5:22 p.m. and re-convened at 8:28 p.m., Chaired by Mayor C. Zehr, with all members present except Councillor M. Galloway. Council considered a matter arising from the Development and Technical Services Committee meeting held this date with respect to a Municipal Plan Amendment Application regarding 55 and 63 Morgan Avenue. Moved by Councillor C. Weylie Seconded by Councillor B. Vrbanovic "That the balance of Municipal Plan Amendment Application MP/03/01FFC/LM (City Initiated Housekeeping Amendments), first considered by Council on October 20, 2003, and being an amendment to: amend Map 5 - Land Use Plan by designating the lands described as part of Lot 20, Registered Plan 959, more particularly described as Part 1 on Reference Plan 58R-4836, municipally known as 55 Morgan Avenue and Part of Lot 20, Registered Plan 959, municipally known as 63 Morgan Avenue as 'Primary Node' instead of 'Low Rise Residential' shown on Schedule 'B' attached to Development and Technical Services Department report DTS-03-169, September 26, 2003; be approved." Moved by Councillor G. Lorentz Seconded by Councillor J. Smola Carried. "That leave be given the Mover and Seconder to introduce the following by-laws for three readings and that the same be taken as read a first, second and third times, be finally passed and numbered serially by the Clerk. (a) Being a by-law to adopt Amendment No. 51 to the Municipal Plan - Housekeeping Amendment. (By-law No. 2004-1) (By-law No. 2004-2)." Carried. (b) To confirm all actions and proceedings of the Council. On motion, the meeting adjourned at 8:29 p.m. MAYOR CLERK
