APRIL 28, 2014 CITY OF KITCHENER
A special meeting of City Council was held at 2:42 p.m. this date, chaired by Mayor C. Zehr with all
members present.
Notice of this meeting had been previously given to all members of Council by the City Clerk pursuant
to Chapter 25 (Council Procedure) of the Municipal Code.
1. FCS -14 -076 — REQUEST TO OPERATE HOT DOG CARTS AT 273 STOKE DRIVE AND 112
WEXFORD CRESCENT — COMMUNITY GARAGE SALE — MAY 3, 2014
Council was advised that, due to timing, consideration of the recommendation arising from the
Finance and Corporate Services Committee meeting held earlier this date will be required
at this time.
Moved by Councillor K. Galloway - Sealock
Seconded by Councillor S. Davey
"That pursuant to Section 25.7.14 of Chapter 25 (Council Procedure) of the Municipal Code,
Council waive the notice requirement with respect to a motion to operate hot dog carts at 273
Stoke Drive and 112 Wexford Crescent on May 3, 2014."
Carried with the required 2/3 majority of Council.
Moved by Councillor K. Galloway - Sealock
Seconded by Councillor S. Davey
"That the request of Les Halat to operate two hot dog carts at 273 Stoke Drive and 112
Wexford Crescent during the annual Community Garage Sale on May 3, 2014, be approved,
provided the necessary licence is obtained including Health and Fire approvals, as outlined in
Finance and Corporate Services Department report FCS -14- 074."
Carried.
2. IN- CAMERA MEETING AUTHORIZATION
Moved by Councillor K. Galloway - Sealock
Seconded by Councillor S. Davey
"That an in- camera meeting of City Council be held this date to consider three land acquisition /
disposition matters and a matter under another Act."
Carried.
3. BY -LAW FOR THREE READINGS
Moved by Councillor K. Galloway - Sealock
Seconded by Councillor B. Vrbanovic
"That leave be given the Mover and Seconder to introduce a by -law to confirm all actions and
proceedings of the Council and that the same be taken as read a first, second and third times, be
finally passed and numbered 2014 -043 by the Clerk."
Carried.
On motion the meeting adjourned at 2:44 p.m.
