BACKGROUND: The property owner at 19 Uxbridge Crescent is planning to hold a wedding reception for a family member in their backyard on August, 2, 2014. The party will include some live music in the afternoon, approximately 3 PM to 5PM, with recorded music being played for the duration of the evening. As such, they are requesting an exemption from Chapter 450 (Noise) of the City's Municipal Code. REPORT: Staff indicate that they are not aware of any previous noise concerns at this address. Further, the event organizer will ensure that the adjacent residential neighbours are advised of the event in advance. ALIGNMENT WITH CITY OF KITCHENER STRATEGIC PLAN: The aforementioned amendments support the Community Priority of Quality of Life, as contained in the City's Strategic Plan. 2 - 1 FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: N/A COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: The event organizer will undertake to advise the adjacent neighbourhood in advance of the event.
