SUBJECT: NOISE EXEMPTION REQUEST- SHERRY LANDRY—423

RECOMMENDATION:
That an exemption to Chapter 450 (Noise) of the City of Kitchener Municipal Code
be granted to Sherry Landry for a special event to be held at 423 Lawrence
Avenue on August 30, 2014, from 2 PM to 11 PM.
BACKGROUND:
Sherry Landry is organizing a special birthday party at the home of her mother at 423
Lawrence Avenue on Saturday August 30th. There will be live music being played in
the back yard during the afternoon and evening. As such, she has applied for an
exemption from Chapter 450 (Noise).
REPORT:
Mrs. Landry advises that the music will be acoustical in nature and they will not be using
an amplified system. Further, she will be notifying the adjacent neighbours in advance
of the event. Mrs. Landry is also providing information for an on-site contact person on
