SUBJECT: NOISE EXEMPTION REQUEST - EMMANUEL BIBLE COLLEGE
RECOMMENDATION:
That an exemption to Chapter 450 (Noise) of the City of Kitchener Municipal Code
be granted to the Emmanuel Bible College, 100 Fergus Avenue, for their
homecoming event on October 3, 2015, between the hours of 10AM to 10PM.
BACKGROUND:
The Emmanuel Bible College is holding a Homecoming Event on Saturday October 3,
2015, at their location at 100 Fergus Avenue, with some activity in Idlewood Park.
Many of the events during the day will take place outside, including a concert in an
outdoor tent from 7PM to 10PM. Thus, the College is requesting an exemption to
Chapter 450 (Noise).
REPORT:
Given the nature of the event and the timing to end by 10PM, staff do not anticipate any
significant noise concerns being raised.
ALIGNMENT WITH CITY OF KITCHENER STRATEGIC PLAN:
The recommendation of this report supports the achievement of the city's strategic
vision through the delivery of core service.
