Theprojectcompletedthefollowingactivities(workshopandmetrics): ActivityOutcomesNumberof participants SeedlingworkshopProvidedseeds,soilandmaterialforpreparing21 sprouts. PlantingandcommunityTwo3x3ft.plotswith9differentproduce5(plusafamilythat garden(herbsandvegetables)gettheirownplot) VermicompostworkshopFivehouseholdsequippedwith5 vermicompostingbinreadytoproducefertilizer CanningworkshopFourhouseholdsprovidedwithtomatosalsa4 withsomeproduceharvestedfromthe communitygardenplot(15x500mLjars) HarvestingOngoing,herbsandvegetables6 Theprogramsucceededinprovidingthetoolsandskillstogrowandpropagateedibleplantsandshare experiencestocreateasenseofbelongingandcommunity.Wealsoengagedparticipantsintosustainable behaviours(toourknowledge,onefamilyproducetheirvegetablesintheirowngardenplot).Wedidnot achievethegoalof12familiesequippedwithavermicomposter(only5households).Wedidnot accomplishthevisittoafarm.Theprogramhadadecliningparticipationfromouroriginalpoolof participants,despitethecontinuouscommunicationthroughsocialmediaandpromotionwithourpartners (TheSalvationArmyandWilliamsburgCommunityCentre).Thus,theobjectiveofengaging10familiesin theprogramfeltshortbyhalf.
