Evaluation and Scoring Instructions
The City has received seven applications requesting funding. To facilitate the evaluation
process as to whom is most deserving of funding, committee members as asked to score each
of the applications. The results of which will be compiled to produce an aggregate ranking of all
the applications. The CEIG Sub Committee will use the results to develop a recommendation.
The follow steps will assist in you in scoring the applications.
Step 1
Prior to your evaluation, please ensure you have reviewed and are familiar with the ‘CEIG
Council Policy’. Also, before you being please ensure you have the following information:
CEIG Criteria Score System (November Agenda Package)
2015 CEIG Env. Committee Score Sheet (November Agenda Package and Email)
Step 2
Review all seven of the 2015 CEIG applications and hear those who will be presenting at the
November 19 Environmental Committee meeting.
Step 3
After completing Step 2 evaluate each of the applications and record the results (preferably they
would be recorded electronically) on the ‘2015 CEIG Env. Committee Score Sheet’ using the
‘CEIG Criteria Score System’ for guidance.

The 2015 CEIG Sub Committee will at a mutually agreeable time
November 25 and November 27
to review the compiled ‘Score Sheets’ and prepare a draft
recommendation. The recommendation will be required no later than December 3, 2015 for the
December 17, 2015 Environmental Committee Meeting.

CEIG Criteria Score System
Offer a brief description of the program or project (10 points)

Describe a specific issue or problem in Kitchener that the program or project addresses (10 points)
Organizations must be operating for City of Kitchener
residents ( a pro-rated contribution may be considered

Community projects should build a level of knowledge
