Presentation/Discover Yoru Downtown/Canada Day Lori Muller/Stef Golling
Lori Muller introduced the Summer Downtown Ambassadors

Stef Golling presented the survey findings from the Discover Your Downtown Marketing Initiative. Overall
the program was well received by participating businesses with o
year. The website received approximately 1000 hits per week. Ber 91.5 The Beat was
the best choice for radio and suggested slots be split between two stations next year. Lindsay Walden
asked if the 55% visitors from outside could be identified by postal code so we know exactly where they
are from. Berry offered to send the link of a website that can identify that. Linda will approach Vidyard
Lori presented a Canada Day Celebration update. Three live bands
asked if a social media campaign is ready for Canada Day Eric Rumble will be taking care of that. Berry
suggested members be encouraged to do Canada Day Window Display.
WRPS Update Stewart Barclay
Going forward, Sergeant James Mitchell will be the representative from WRPS at the board
meetings. He shared stats on the Downtown Core. The number of occurrences is relatively the
same, prostitution is down and Mental Health calls are up. A new
see more foot patrol officers in the core. With regards to a request for comparative stats,
Sergeant Mitchell advised that it would not be of any benefit to the core or the board.
Purchasing policy Lindsay Walden
On behalf of the Policy Committee Lindsay presented a draft purchasing policy. Cory and Linda
for clarity. Stewart asked that
records be kept regarding Events and spending.
Executive Director Report Linda Jutzi
Linda updated the board on the Big Music Fest and will send them
completed. Linda put forth a request to change the monthly Membe
quarterly citing consistently low attendance for the last year. The budget for these events will
remain the same which will ensure four larger member networking events take place quarterly
and will benefit members more. The last monthly networking event wil th.
Beautification update: Cory reported that repairs are being made on broken bollards and tree
guards etc. Samples of Pole Raps will be available in June and sThis year an

Food Trucks Cory Bluhm
Food trucks want weekly dinner hour service Wednesdays and Fridays on Gaukle St. -
Restaurants are okay with this. Stewart asked if it can be mandated that the food trucks show up
regardless of the weather. Michelle asked if there is a policy on Holidays ( Canada Day) falls on a
Wednesday this year. Stacey asked about a schedule will be on the DTK website the following
week.
Hump Day Update: Free Parking in city lots from 5 to 6 every Wednesda
