This exemption is subject to the following conditions, which, if not render the noise exemption null and void: a) There shall be no offensive language, in the opinion of City from this music festival, audible in any adjacent residential ne b) The event organizers will ensure that there is an on-site con accessible to correspond with City staff at all times during the c) The event organizers agree to respond accordingly to requests staff, during the event, in order to address community concerns arise with regard to the impact of noise heard within adjacent r areas. d) The event organizer will be responsible for the cost of a pai Officer, to be assigned specifically to this event which shall b th prior to the Council date of June 13, 2016. e) The maximum decibel level (dba) audible from a residential ar exceed 65 dba. BACKGROUND: An event, known as CMT-Country Music Fest, is scheduled to be he th Center, at 425 Bingemans Center Drive, on Friday July 82016, between the hours of th 3pm – 11pm and on Saturday July 9 2016, between the hours of 12pm – 11pm. As such have requested an exemption from the City’s Noise By-law, Chapte Municipal Code. REPORT: The event organizers have indicated the potential attendance to 25,000 people on each of the days. There will be two stages for this event, a smaller stage located Pond and the main stage which will be angled slightly more to th site plan indicating the event venue. It should be noted that weather conditions can play a role with dispersion. At this point it is difficult to predict the impact however it will be closely monitored during the event. Staff and the event organizers will conduct sound testing the mo ensure that the equipment is set to produce the appropriate outp to the prescribed dba level. The By-law Enforcement Division will be assigning a Noise Office The event organizers will ensure that there is an on-site contac event for By-law Enforcement staff, if required, to address any ALIGNMENT WITH CITY OF KITCHENER STRATEGIC PLAN: This request supports the Community Priority Quality of Life, as Strategic Plan. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: N/A COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: The event organizers are responsible for ensuring that this even throughout the community in advance of the event.
