BACKGROUND: Pat Lackenbauer is organizing the Sherwood Shindig Street Party on Nyberg Street, from Ottawa Street South to Borden Avenue which is taking place on July 28, 2016. This will be an outdoor event that will include live music; thus they are Noise By-law (Chapter 450). REPORT: The Sherwood Shindig Street Party is a free community based music and food event, that is being held to promote all the businesses affected by LRT construction, in the Nyberg and surrounding areas and to raise money for the Red Cross-Fort McMurray Fund. The event will include food truck vendors and live music from 5pm until 10:30pm. Staff have made arrangements to have an onsite contact person during the event to help address any concerns that may arise. ALIGNMENT WITH CITY OF KITCHENER STRATEGIC PLAN: The aforementioned amendments support the Community Priority of Quality of Life, as contained in FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: N/A COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: The event organizer is responsible for ensuring that this event is communicated throughout the community in advance of the event.
