CITY OF KITCHENER
A special meeting of City Council was held at 12:19 p.m. this date, chaired by Mayor B. Vrbanovic
with all members present.
Notice of this meeting had been previously given to all members of Council by the City Clerk pursuant
to Chapter 25 (Council Procedure) of the Municipal Code.
1. IN -CAMERA MEETING AUTHORIZATION
Moved by Councillor B. loannidis
Seconded by Councillor D. Schnider
"That an in -camera meeting of City Council be held immediately following this special meeting to
consider a land acquisition / disposition matter and a labour relations matter."
Carried
The meeting then recessed at 12:20 p.m. and re -convened at 5:09 p.m. chaired by Mayor B.
Vrbanovic and with all members present.
2. CAPITAL BUDGET - DIRECTION
Moved by Councillor S. Davey
Seconded by Councillor D. Schnider
"That the report of the Finance and Corporate Services Committee be adopted."
Carried.
3. IN -CAMERA ITEM
Council considered Finance and Corporate Services Department report FCS -16-187 (B. Soye)
containing a recommendation regarding a Memorandum of Settlement.
Moved by Councillor B. loannidis
Seconded by Councillor D. Schnider
"That Council approve the terms and conditions contained in the Memorandum of Settlement
dated November 1, 2016 to establish the 2016-2018 collective agreements with CUPE 68
(civic) and CUPE 68 (mechanics) and further,
That the Mayor and the Clerk be authorized to execute documentation arising therefrom."

Council was requested to enact the following resolution to enable the Property Standards Committee
to consider a time sensitive appeal to an Order to Comply.
Moved by Councillor B. loannidis
Seconded by Councillor P. Singh
"That Councillor B. loannidis be appointed as an alternate member of the Property Standards
Committee to serve at times when it is unable to achieve quorum."
Carried.
