From now until mid-August 2016, neighbourhood strategy staff and project team members will be engaging our community to get ideas for planning, building and supporting safe and thriving neighbourhoods. Our vision is to create a neighbourhood strategy that will help people connect and work together to do great things in their neighbourhoods. One of our main goals is to reach out to and collect input from as many people and as many neighbourhoods as possible. th Neighbourhood strategy staff will be attending the June 7 heritage Kitchener meeting to seek The attached document entitled outlines the four ways to provide input. We encourage you to provide input in multiple ways. We will be using the street team method to seek your input at the committee meeting. provide your input as aheritage Kitchener member and as a resident of one of Kitchener. Are you interested in volunteering? Join our street team! From now until August, teams of volunteers will be going out to neighbourhood gatherings and events to gather ideas for making our neighbourhoods even better. Through short, one on one Strategy. Volunteers are asked to commit to volunteering at least once per month, with most events happening on evenings and weekends. Expect to see a draft of the Strategy in fall 2016 before it is presented to City Council in winter 2016/2017. Our project team of city staff and community volunteers has been meeting since May of 2015 to lay the groundwork for already getting behind this work and look forward to hearing all your great ideas for making our awesome neighbourhoods even better.
