PurposeofGrant: TheSafeandHealthyCommunityAdvisoryCommitteewillmakeoneyearcashgrantsforonetime projects,initiativesoreventsthatsupport źƓĭƌǒƭźƚƓ and/or ĬĻƌƚƓŭźƓŭ withinKitchenerneighbourhoods. EligibilityCriteria: Mustbeledbyagroupofresidents(formalorinformal)withinaneighbourhood Abilitytodemonstratefollowthroughontheproject Project/eventmusttakeplacewithinoneyearofthegrantapproval MustbelocatedintheCityofKitchener Priorityisgiventonewinitiatives ApplicationwillonlybeconsideredifthegrouphasnotbeenawardedanotherCityofKitchener grant MaximumAmountofGrant: Maximumof$2000perproposalforonetimeinitiatives/eventswithtiestoaCityofKitchener NeighbourhoodAssociationorestablishedcommunityorganization/group Maximumof$1000perproposalforonetimeinitiatives/eventsforanindividualoraninformal collaborativegroup Process: Grantswillbeacceptedonanongoingbasis TobeconsideredinOctober,applicationsmustbesubmittedbySeptember15th. GrantingdecisionswillbemadethefirstThursdayinMayandOctoberannually Specialcircumstancesrequiringdecisionsoutsideofthistimeframewillbeconsideredonacase bycasebasis. AllproposalswillbereviewedbyasubcommitteeoftheSafeandHealthyCommunityAdvisory Committee.ThoseselectedforinvestmentwillbebroughttothefullSafeandHealthy CommunityAdvisoryCommitteeforfinalapproval. SuccessfulproposalswillbeassignedaCityofKitchenerLiaisontofollowupwiththegroupto ensuretheprƚƆĻĭƷƭcompletion SuccessfulproposalswillberequiredtosubmitabriefreportinwritingtotheSafeandHealthy AdvisoryCommitteeuponcompletionoftheirproject/event,includingabreakdownofhowthe moneywasused 1 - 1
