urban design installations over Regional land.”
BACKGROUND:
Certain pieces of refurbished equipment or other design elements will be placed on
Region of Waterloo owned land as part of the Planning Division project, “Urban Design

REPORT:
Certain design elements will be installed on Region of Waterloo land to improve
streetscapes. Currently, two refurbished industrial artifacts which are urban design
improvements are planned to be placed on Regional land near the Spur Line Trail. A

Horse Trail.
The industrial artifacts have been prepared by City of Kitchener Operations through
sand-blasting and painting. These artifacts will be maintained by the City of Kitchener.
Urban design installations may include other refurbished equipment or functional pieces
of street furniture such as benches, and these urban design installations may be placed
