S. JULY 29, 2017 ___________________________________________________________________ RECOMMENDATION: That an exemption to Chapter 450 (Noise) of the City of Kitchener Municipal Code be granted to Pat Lackenbauer for an outdoor street party at 124 Ottawa Street South between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 11p.m. on July 29, 2017. BACKGROUND: nd Pat Lackenbauer is organizing the 2 Annual Sherwood Shindig Street Party on Nyberg Street, from Ottawa Street South to Borden Avenue which is taking place on July 29, 2017. This will be an outdoor event that will include live music; thus they are requesting an exemption from the -law (Chapter 450). REPORT: The Sherwood Shindig Street Party is a free community based music and food event, all . The event will include food truck vendors, buskers, kids entertainment and live music from 12:00 pm until 11:00 pm. There will be one stage facing down Nyberg Street towards Borden Ave., the stage will be directed away from the neighbourhood and towards the local businesses who are supporting the event. This event took place last year, staff received one complaint. Staff have made arrangements to have an onsite contact person during the event to help address any concerns that may arise.
