SUBJECT: NOISE EXEMPTION REQUEST KAWASAKI DISEASE
FUNDRAISING EVENT VICTORIA PARK- SEPTEMBER 22, 2017

RECOMMENDATION:
That an exemption to Chapter 450 (Noise) of the City of Kitchener Municipal Code
be granted to the organizers of Kawasaki Disease Canada for the fundraising
event they will be holding in Victoria Park, on Friday September 22, 2017, between
the hours of 5:00pm and 11pm.
BACKGROUND:
Kawasaki Disease Canada is a national charity based out of Waterloo Region, they are
hosting a fundraising and awareness event for Kawaski Disease in Victoria Park on
September 22, 2017 between the hours of 5pm and 11pm.
REPORT:
There will be a large tent set up in Victoria Park that will accommodate 150-250 people
for the event. Kawasaki Disease Canada will be selling tickets which will include dinner
that will be provided by gourmet food trucks, live entertainment with music and buskers,
as well as speeches. This will be a licensed event and will therefore be completely
fenced off.
