The Neighbourhood Placemaking Challenge offers grants between $1,000 and $20,000 for projects that
turn everyday spaces into destinations and gathering places that people want to spend time in. The
purpose of the Challenge is to encourage more people of all ages and backgrounds to spend time in
neighbourhood places, strengthen relationships between neighbours and be positively engaged in their
neighbourhood. All successful grant recipients must complete their project by July 28-30, 2018.
Applications are expected by residents, neighbourhood associations, businesses, artists, special interest
groups and more. The grant is administered as an open competition meaning the best and most creative
applications are awarded the grants. For full details about the grant, please visit lovemyhood.ca.
