CITY OF KITCHENER
A special meeting of City Council was held at 5:10 p.m. this date, chaired by Mayor B. Vrbanovic with
all members present.
Notice of this meeting had been previously given to all members of Council by the City Clerk pursuant
to Chapter 25 (Council Procedure) of the Municipal Code.
1. FCS -17-173 — HOUSEKEEPING AMENDMENTS — BY-LAW 2014-138 (RESPONSIBLE
DOG OWNERSHIP) AND BY-LAW 2014-142 (DOG DESIGNATION BY-LAW)
Council considered a recommendation arising from the Finance and Corporate Services Committee
meeting held earlier this date.
Moved by Councillor S. Davey
Seconded by Councillor D. Schnider
"That the draft by-law to amend By-law 2014-138 (Responsible Dog Ownership By-law)
attached to Finance and Corporate Service Department report FCS -17-173 be enacted; and
further,
That the draft by-law to amend By-law 2014-142 (Dog Designations By-law) attached to Report
FCS -17-173 be enacted."
Carried.
2. IN -CAMERA MEETING AUTHORIZATION
Moved by Councillor B. loannidis
Seconded by Councillor Y. Fernandes
"That an in -camera meeting of City Council be held immediately following this special meeting to
consider a land acquisition 1 disposition matter."
Carried.
3. BY-LAW FOR THREE READINGS
Moved by Councillor K. Galloway-Sealock
Seconded by Councillor D. Schnider
"That leave be given the Mover and Seconder to introduce a by-law to confirm all actions and
proceedings of the Council and that the same be taken as read a first, second and third times, be
finally passed and numbered 2017-107 by the Clerk."
Carried.
On motion the meeting adjourned at 5:12 p.m.
