Re: Special Council Meeting – Monday, November 6, 2017
Notice is hereby given that Mayor B. Vrbanovic has called a special meeting of City Council
to be held in the Council Chamber on Monday, November 6, 2017 commencing at 3:00
p.m. to consider the following:
1. 2018 Appointments to Committees / Boards
Information had previously been circulated to Council regarding appointments to be made
to various boards and committees for 2018.
Mr. B. McColl, Chair, Kitchener Housing Inc. Board, has registered to speak regarding
appointments / vacancies to this Board.
2. Strategic Session
a.Comprehensive Review of the Zoning By-law (CRoZBy) Next Steps - Natalie
Goss
Community Services Department report CSD-17-051 is attached.
3. In-camera Meeting Authorization
Council is asked to enact the following resolution to authorize an in-camera
meeting:
“That an in-camera meeting of City Council be held this date to consider a
land acquisition / disposition matter and a litigation / potential litigation
matter which is also subject to solicitor-client privilege.”

ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION
1. Land Acquisition / Disposition (LRT Pedestrian Connection) (10 min)
Staff will advise on a pedestrian connection related to the LRT.
2. Litigation/Potential Litigation / Solicitor-Client Privilege (Springmount Place Area)
(30 min)
Staff will advise and seek direction on an encroachment on a City easement located in the
Springmount Place Area.
