CITY OF KITCHENER
A special meeting of City Council was held at 4:54 p.m. this date, chaired by Mayor B. Vrbanovic with
all members present.
Notice of this meeting had been previously given to all members of Council by the City Clerk pursuant
to Chapter 25 (Council Procedure) of the Municipal Code.
FCS -18-010 — APPOINTMENT OF TRIBUNAL MEMBERS — CLASS D — ADULT
ENTERTAINMENT PARLOUR ATTENDANT LICENCE
Council considered Finance and Corporate Services Department report FCS -18-010 (H. Fylactou),
dated February 20, 2018, regarding a 2018 Class D — Adult Entertainment Parlour Licence.
Moved by Councillor Y. Fernandes
Seconded by Councillor P. Singh
"That a hearing by a Committee of Council under the authority of the Municipal Act, 2001 and
Chapter 502 of The City of Kitchener Municipal Code to allow a Committee of Council to
recommend to Council whether, with respect to a 2018 Class D — Adult Entertainment Parlour
Licence, the applicant be granted the licence, granted the licence with conditions, or denied
the licence; and,
That Councillor John Gazzola, Mayor Berry Vrbanovic, and Councillor Scott Davey (alternate)
be appointed as members of the tribunal; and further,
That notice be given for the hearing, to be held at Kitchener City Hall on April 11 2018,
following which a report will be submitted to Council for its consideration."

2. FCS -18-022 — AUTHORIZATION TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT OF
PURCHASE AND SALE RE: PORTION PLAINS ROAD
Council considered Finance and Corporate Services Department report FCS -18-022 (L. MacDonald),
dated February 26, 2018, regarding an amendment to the Agreement of Purchase and Sale for the
purchase of a portion of Plains Road.
Moved by Councillor K. Galloway-Sealock
Seconded by Councillor B. loannidis
"That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute an amendment to the Agreement of
Purchase and Sale with Schlegel Urban Developments Corp., (formerly Becker Estates Inc.)
for the purchase of a portion of Plains Road, to facilitate pre -grading of Plains Road; and
further,
That the amendment be to the satisfaction of the City Solicitor."
Carried.
3. BY-LAWS FOR THREE READINGS
Moved by Councillor S. Marsh
Seconded by Councillor D. Schnider
"That leave be given the Mover and Seconder to introduce the following by-laws for three
readings and that the same be taken as read a first, second and third times, be finally passed
and numbered serially by the Clerk."
Carried.
