MINUTES – <br />Minutes to be accepted as mailed to the Mayor and Councillors (regular meeting held March 19, <br />2018 and special meetings held March 19 & April 9, 2018) – Councillor S. Marsh. <br />3. DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST AND THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF <br />4. COMMUNICATIONS REFERRED TO FILE – <br />a. Emails acknowledging receipt of Council’s resolution regarding local library funding, dated <br />February 2 - 7, 2018, from Monika Turner, Director of Policy, Association of Municipalities <br />of Ontario; Mary Chevreau, Chief Executive Officer, Kitchener Public Library; Stephen <br />Abram, Executive Director, Federation of Ontario Public Libraries; Michael Di Lullo, City <br />Clerk, City of Cambridge; and, Catherine Fife, MPP Kitchener-Waterloo. <br />b. Flag Requests under Policy MUN-FAC-442: <br /> Autism Ontario, Waterloo Region Chapter – World Autism Awareness Day – April <br />2-9, 2018. <br /> Life Donation Awareness Association (LDAA) – April 3, 2018 <br /> Huntington Society of Canada – Awareness Month – May 1-7, 2018. <br />5. PRESENTATIONS – <br />a. Mr. Matthew Day, Regional Sustainability Initiative Program Manager, Sustainable <br />Waterloo Region (SWR) to present two awards to the City of Kitchener for the Greatest <br />GHG Reduction, and SWR Partner of the Year. <br />b. Jerry Van Ooteghem, President and CEO, and Jim Phillips, Chair, Kitchener-Wilmot <br />Hydro, Inc. - To present the 2017 Annual Report. <br /> In addition, Council is asked to officially receive the financial statements of Kitchener <br />Power Corporation and appoint auditors for the ensuing fiscal year. A motion in this regard <br />is listed as Item 9.a. under New Business <br />c. Mayor B. Vrbanovic to present the Ontario Age-Friendly Community Recognition Award to <br />the City of Kitchener for creating inclusive and accessible communities for people of all <br />ages and abilities. <br />6. DELEGATIONS – <br />a. Notice has been given for any member of the public to speak for or against a by-law to <br />name a private road in a mixed use development as Garment Street, listed as Items 11.e. <br />and 14.e. <br />b. John MacDonald – Regarding Community Services Department report CSD-18-051, listed <br />as item 3 under the Planning and Strategic Initiatives Committee report dated April 9, <br />2018. <br />c. Michelle Palmer, Director of Supply Services – To answer any questions arising from <br />the tender(s) listed on the Committee of the Whole agenda of this date. <br />7.
