Subject: Development Services Review - Project Update
Overview
In 5-10 minutes (including any questions from the Committee), I would like to provide an
oral (no visual aids) project update on the Development Services Review. At a very
high-level, I would like to:
- Introduce myself;
- Identify the purpose of the review;
- Share a high-level timeline; and,
- Discuss next steps
Expectations of Committee
This is an update for information purposes only; however, I am happy to answer any
questions that the Committee may have about the review. I will commit to coming back
in the future and keeping the Committee informed and apprised of opportunities for
engagement.

Subject: Wayfinding Signage Discussion
Overview
The committee passed a motion to have staff implement wayfinding signage
immediately, that would look similar to signage presented at the September meeting. As
a result, staff are prepared to identify locations to have signage installed. With the
assistance of the committee, staff would like to begin to select or identify locations
within the City for signage.
Expectations of Committee
The committee is encouraged to consider locations where wayfinding signage is
required. Staff will have a map of the City so members can mark their locations, in
different parts of the City. Staff will work with the next committee in the new year to
finalize a plan for early 2019 installation.

Subject: Multi-use Trail Markings and Signage
Overview
The City of Kitchener will be working with adjacent municipalities to determine
consistent design elements of multi-use trails within the Region. This includes things
such as pavement markings and signage for both boulevard trails (i.e. within a road
right of way) and multi-use trails (i.e. Iron Horse Trail). City staff would like to have a
discussion on what the committee feels are design elements to consider
Expectations of Committee
Committee members will be asked to comment on design elements they feel are best
for multi-use trails.
