SUBJECT:Region of Waterloo Planning and Works Project TeamAppointments

RECOMMENDATION:
That Councillor S. Marsh be appointed to the Region of Waterloo King Victoria Transit
Hub Steering Committee;
ThatCouncillor M.Johnstonbe appointed to the Victoria Street Reconstruction,
Lawrence Avenue to Fischer Hallman Road and Westmount Road, Victoria Street to
Glasgow Street Study Team; and,
ThatCouncillor D. Chapmanbe appointed to the William Street and Strange Street Water
Supply Upgrades Study Team; and further,
ThatCouncillor C. Michaud be appointed to the Spring Valley Pumping Station Class EA
Study Team.
BACKGROUND:
Following the Regionof WaterlooPlanning and Works Committee meeting held on December
11, 2018, membersof Kitchener Council wereinvited to participate study teams associated with
various projects lead by the Region associated with the City of Kitchener.
REPORT:
The Region has requested one local councillor be appointed to each of the following Planning
and Works Project Teams:

The Region has specifically indicated an interest in having the Ward Councillor, Sarah Marsh,
re-appointed to the King Victoria Transit Hub Steering Committee as the Hub is located within
Ward 10. Past practice at the City ofKitchener has been to providecouncillorsan opportunity to
participate on Regional projects where there is an impact to their specific ward.
