(Being a by-law to amend the Dog Designations By-law 2014-
142)
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend By-law 2014-142;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kitchener enacts
as follows:
Section 1 of By-law 2014-142 is hereby amended by deleting the definition of
"animal services provider" and substituting the following therefor:
""animal services provider" means The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo &
Stratford Perth" which was formerly known as the "Kitchener -Waterloo and North
Waterloo Humane Society" and also as "The Animal Welfare Agency South Central
Ontario' and which is still commonly referred to in the community as the "Humane
Society" and as the "KWHS" and shall include its officers and employees."
2. Section 39 of By-law 2014-142 is hereby amended by deleting the words
"Kitchener -Waterloo and North Waterloo Humane Society" and replacing them with
41 animal services provider."
3. By-law 2014-142 is hereby amended by deleting section 56 thereof and replacing it
with the following:
"The Clerk of the City is hereby directed to make this by-law a part of The City of
Kitchener Municipal Code by adding it to the Concordance and arranging and
numbering it so as to fit within the scheme of the Code."
